Profile
The Elevator Brewery & Draught Haus is a craft bar, micro-brewery, and chef driven restaurant that has been located in one of the most historic buildings, the Columbia building, in downtown Columbus for the last twenty years. Built in 1897 by the Bott family and originally opened as Bott Brothers’ Billiards, the gorgeous hand-carved Philippine mahogany bar was added to serve the whiskey that was being distilled on the second floor. The luxurious bar itself actually predates the building, as it was constructed for entry in the 1893 Columbian Exposition at the Chicago World’s Fair and consequently took home the coveted blue ribbon for craftsmanship. Brought here to Columbus by the Botts, it has served as the centerpiece to the building since its original opening. Today, Elevator honors the rich history of the space by reflecting it through our comprehensive menu of fresh, seasonal food and our expansive, hand-crafted list of spirits, which includes not only beer brewed on-site but house made draft cocktails and sodas.
