Golden Hobby Gift Shop is a senior arts and consignment shop that offers an array of handmade goods for sale, including quilts, ceramics, woodcrafts, paintings and more, all made by Columbus-area seniors. It is staffed by Columbus Recreation and Parks Department employees and a group of dedicated senior volunteers. Since 1971, more than 5,000 members have sold their items through the shop.

I went to the Golden Hobby Shop for the first time a few weeks ago. The place is very large with several rooms full of delightful items at a very reasonable price. I plan to return. It is a great shop for finding unique gifts or for purchasing some fun things for yourself. There is so much variety in the lovely homemade items that a person could make this place a one-stop for Christmas shopping. If you haven’t been yet, go and plan to spend some leisurely time checking out a myriad of arts and crafts.
